First, I mean “What can I say?” in the sense of “I am so sorry not to have written here recently and I have no excuse worth hearing.” I do have an excuse, which is that I’m writing a book, but I’m a writer so I’m not sure that’s an excuse worth hearing. I have been loving writing it, though, and I hope soon to be able to tell you about it.
Second, I mean “What can I say?” in the sense of “What would you like me to write about here? What can i say that I haven’t said?” I feel I’ve said everything I have anything to say anything about, in some cases several times, and I’m left not quite knowing if there are some other things you’d like to ask me or even some of the same things that you’d like me to answer again or differently.
I may be writing a book but I am still here to help. So, please either add a comment below or else email me privately: n@nicolamorgan.co.uk
I might not answer very quickly because the Easter holiday is a busy time and straight after that I’m off on an exciting work trip to speak at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival. I went there last ten years ago and I’m very excited about going again, to give a workshop for teachers and parents, take part in an adult panel on literature, give a talk to a large audience of young people and visit some schools. So, a lot to prepare for!
Anyway, I hope you are surviving the stresses of our lives these days and floating swanlike above it all. I find peace and pleasure in my garden and am making sure I get as much of that as possible.
Please let me know what you’d like me to talk about. How about:
“Is it true that….?”
“What do you think that…?”
“What is the best thing to do if….?”
“Why does ….. happen?”
“Have you got any tips for….?”
Be as specific and detailed as possible in your question, so I don’t waffle on in my answer.
And if you don’t ask me for anything, you won’t get anything! I will just go and cultivate my garden (and write my book).
Ooh enjoy Sharjah!
