[STOP PRESS: book giveaway now ended and winners being notified.]
For many years, I’ve offered advice for exam students (and their parents and teachers) and I have a lot of resources. But you don’t have time to go hunting for it all so I have gathered it below. Whether you are a student or an adult supporting a student, and whether your exams are soon or several months away, you’ll find strong and empowering advice here.
The book
My book, Exam Attack, is a really succinct and powerful gathering of all the most important advice. To buy it, I’d love you to use the Bookshop.org link here. This means that I get a small commission from the sale. Similarly, if you buy any of my books through the links on my website - here - I receive a commission. Thank you!
Two videos
First, Ten Tips for exam students:
Second, a link to the video I made last year, Supporting Your Exam Students:
And a handout to support that video:
Lots of resources for you, from me:
Go to the Exam Attack page here and scroll down to “Resources For You”, where you can download the “Big Folder of resources…” (Get coffee…) You’ll also find a great audio of a relaxation technique, plus recipes and nutrition ideas, because brains need fuel.
You’ll also find articles I’ve written over the years here:

The giveaway!
I have SIX copies of Exam Attack to give away - three to households and three to schools. To be in with a chance, just add any kind of “pick me” comment below and let me know if you’re entering for a school or household.
Conditions:
Deadline 5pm GMT 1st Feb 2025.
You need to be a subscriber (which is free) - you can unsubscribe later if you wish.
Winners will be chosen at random. I will assign each valid entry a number and then put the numbers through a random generator. Entries will be split into “home” and “school” and two separate sets of three winners will be picked.
You may enter for home and school. If you are doing this, please make two separate comments, clearly indicating which is home and which is school. (You don’t need to say the name of the school when entering.)
Only one entry per home and one per school. (There might be an accidental doubling up if two people enter from the same school without realising. I’ll cross that bridge when it happens and act fairly!)
Books will be posted to UK addresses only. You can enter on behalf of a non-UK home or address but you would need to provide a UK address if you win.
Winners will be notified by email, at which point I would ask for postal details.
Don’t delay - if you postpone, you might forget!
Good luck, everyone!
